  • Fruits & vegetables (pits & shells too)
  • Seafood, including shellfish
  • Meat
  • Bones, fats & grease
  • Rice, beans & pasta
  • Bread
  • Dairy products/cheese
  • Eggshells and eggs
  • All prepared, cooked & spoiled foods
  • Napkins, paper towels, tissues & other soiled paper
  • Paper cups and plates
  • Coffee grounds, filters & tea bags
  • Waxed cardboard/waxed paper
  • Paper take-out boxes & containers
  • Greasy pizza boxes & paper bags
  • Certified compostable cups, plates & utensils
  • Leaves & grass
  • Branches, stems and other plant debris
  • Flowers & floral trimmings
  • Holiday greenery
  • Sawdust, chopsticks, toothpicks, wooden crates & other clean wood items under 36″
  • Natural corks
  • Cotton balls/cotton swaps with paper stems
  • Hair, fur & feathers (non-synthetic)
Please No:

  • Plastic bags/wrap, straws or other plastic items
  • Styrofoam
  • Bottles & cans
  • Aluminum foil/foil-lined food wrap
  • Liquids
  • Cat & dot waste/cat litter
  • Hazardous waste
