Plus, we’ve included some of the recommended resources we provide at the workshop for you to check out before hand (or if you cannot make it!). The workshops are brought to you through a collaboration and sponsorship of: the City of Napa, UC Master Gardener’s, County of Napa, Upper Valley Waste Management Agency, and the City of American Canyon. Home composting not your thing? Did you know you can put all your food soiled paper products (paper plates, pizza boxes, napkins, paper based to go containers, etc) into your brown compost cart alongside all your food! Home Composting Workshop Signups Learn to reduce and eliminate yard trimmings and turn it into wonderfully rich, free compost for your garden. Discover the basics of backyard composting, composting with worms and grasscycling. Become familiar with tools, types of bins and the ins and outs of recycling yard trimmings, garden waste, and even some food scraps. Learn about Grasscycling. Grass clippings release valuable nutrients back into the soil.
