Our community’s response to COVID-19 is creating lots of unusual wastes. Here are simple instructions for how to handle them.

Cleaning Wipes

Dispose of single-use antibacterial wipes in the grey landfill cart. These should never be flushed down toilets.

Paper Towels and Tissues

Under normal circumstances, place soiled paper items like these in your green or brown compost cart, but, please be sure to toss them in the grey landfill cart if you use them around someone who is sick or after you use them with a non-biodegradable cleaner.

Disposable Masks and Plastic Gloves

These go in your grey landfill cart. They are not recyclable or compostable.
