Composting conserves water and recycling saves water! June 8, 2021 Email COMPOST conserves water! Nearly half of our community’s water is used to maintain landscaping — compost limits evaporation and can significantly reduce the amount of water needed! Napa’s local compost is perfect for vineyards, farms, garden, yards and landscaping. Available for purchase at the Napa Recycling & Composting Facility on 820 Levitin Way, American Canyon Organic Compost Only $12/cubic yard! (+ tax) NRWS will deliver within our service area. Additional fees apply — contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote. RECYCLING saves water! In this time of drought, it’s important to remember yet another positive benefit of recycling and composting. We save 3.5 gallons of water with every pound of paper we recycle – Every 4 pounds of paper recycled saves enough water for a nice refreshing shower! A quick rinse is all that’s needed – Containers should be empty of solid and liquid contents, but do not need to be pristine in order to be recycled.
